Detailed Description of Air Cushion

A. Cell: Each inflatable bag on the air cushion is called an cell.

B. Handle

C. Velcro strap: To fix air cushion on wheelchair.

D. Hose: It is used to connect the inflation pump and the valve. There is a groove in the tube and a ball. After putting the ball into the groove, the cushion is inflatable. Do not force the tube or use it as a handle.

E. Cover: The non-slip base material keeps user's body from skidding from the chair.

F. Inflation Pump

Step 1.Push the ball into the groove:

Step 2. Connect the inflation pump to the end of the hose and inflate until the air cells are raised;

Step 3. Push the ball into the hose and remove the inflation pump.

Step 4. Sit on the cushion. And put the hands on the wheelchair armrests and feet on the pedals;

Step 5. Place your hands at the bottom of the pelvis, usually at the small scoliosis of the pelvis. If you are unable to proceed with this step, please ask your clinician or your caregiver for help;

Step 6. Place one hand at the bottom of the pelvis, and push the ball into the groove with the other hand. When the air is released from the cushion, you will sink to the seat cushion and close the valve when your finger touches the bottom of the seat cushion. At this time, the height between the bottom of your pelvis and the cushion should be kept about 1.25 cm air volume.

 Air Cell Cushion is used in home nursing to release pressure sores or who is sitting with asymmetrical postures and office workers or long  time sitting.
